A place to leave unwanted companions

I've noticed if I remove some companions from my party they stay in the spot where I left them. I thought I could use this to gather them into one place, but the question is where? Any suggestions?

    Friendly Arm Inn tends to be the default choice.

    It is for Dorn and Neera, but for other's like Khalid and Jaheira they remain where they are. Besides, the city Friendly Arm Inn has one entrance, the Inn inside is in the back of the city and takes a while to get in to get your companions and get out. Was looking for a more convenient place.

    Bottom of Cloakwood Mine?

    More seriously, how about the bridge to Baldur's Gate? Beregost is also nicely central.

    For some of them, it's Elfsong Tavern. For others, like Khalid, it's unnamed house in Nashkel, from which you are running as fast as you can.

    I thought Jovian Inn in Beregost was a good place since you come directly in front of it from the map, I just thought there was an ideal place. I havn't made it to Cloakwood Mines yet.

    Kagain's shop in Beregost becomes my prison for unwanted companions. I collect them like Pokemon and store them where a good fireball can clean out the entire sword coast adventurer population

    Normally i throw them at the Friendly Arm INN , right before the very Gate , 80 % of the game is like South-ish so you Pop up right before them ... and for Neera and Dorn you can Walk inside.
    Rasaad is the only one buggering around in Nashkeel, and after his quest its not like you kick and reinvite him every 2 level.

    I like the center of Beregost before you get into the city. Close shops nearby, nothing too hard to navigate.

    I use the tweak that sends almost all of them back to the Friendly Arm Inn.

    With the basilisks.
    Pros:
    * No awkward conversations.
    * They're happier that way.
    Cons:
    * Costs stone to flesh to revive.
    * A little out of the way.
