Where does khalid go right after you first talk to him? He just disappeared after telling me to talk to two people, now I can't find him to tell him what i've learned.

If you head up the stairs from the portal where you enter Bridgefort (Stairs to the west) and across that room to the far wall (do NOT go north into the church/chapel area), there's a dark area on the edge of the screen that has no wall...it acts as a zone transition, you can click on it to exit out onto the battlements of the keep.
Khalid is out there.
As to Duncan, he disappears from the area, you DO NOT NEED to talk with him. You're looking for either Corwin (if She's not in your party) or Officer...something....(begins with an "O" Maybe?) who will handle drumming up the army to help you with the bridgefort quest.
Thank you for explaining about Duncan.
There is a text saying Khalid dies in my game, but no body or anything can be found on the spot he was standing in.
A fellow fora member had similar experience; I was actually coming to search solutions on Khalid disappearing, when Myrkvi uncannily commented having encountered this problem in another conversation about unrelated quest problem I had.
I trust this would be in the critical path for patching, but I will now try just killing everyone. It should hopefully allow to progress the story.
If anyone has other tips / solutions, please share! It would be greatly appreciated. :-)
the last time I was able to find him was befor I go into the Crusaders camp to steal the scroll to cure the Defenders.
I cant find Duncan either but I am not sure when he disapeared though.
I din reload befor I meet khalid the first time but it happend anyway.
Now I am stuck
1) Go to My Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition folder and locate Baldur.lua file in there.
2) Open it with a text editor of your choice and add a SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1') line. Save and close.
From now on, you can open console in game via ctrl+space.
Use
C:CreateCreature("Khalid7")
Just make sure to do it when you are in the outside area of the fort.
worked for me!
Basically, when the explosion happened, the deaths of four people were logged for me. The three NPC's you need to place on the altar, and Khalid's name also appeared in the combat log. He was outside above the drawbridge before the explosion, and nowhere to be found after it happened.
The console is the way to go though
