I havnt played BG1 in over decade and never BG2. Would I ruin the BG1EE experiance by starting BG2?

    It should not ruin BG1EE for you if you proceed. Baldur's Gate 2 is set in a different location south of the area featured in BG1, and the campaign does not address BG1 stuff until the expansion for the most part. It won't hurt to try out in my opinion. Happy gaming.

    I have been playing the BG series for 10 years, I have finished BG2 8-10 times and played BG1 once, a long time ago. Im midway through my second ever BG1 playthrough and absolutley loving it.

    It doesn't ruin anything. They are sufficiently different. Although it's great fun to have a character play through from the beginning of BG1 into the sequel.
