Multiplayer is bugged

Hi

Just updated to the newest patch with some friends and we tried to play multi (we all use windows and we all used fresh installs) - game connected but everyone but the host got stuck after the very first intro, box came up that said "waiting to join" and would never go away, had to click cancel a bunch of times to get it to go away...

Then as we were playing, the game would randomly pause for people when it wasn't really paused and then get stuck paused! Even with permission to pause the game there is no way to get out of being paused. Can't even play the game.

Devs did you not test multiplayer before you released this patch? When are you going to fix this?

P.S. Please enable the option to look in your friends inventories and move items to/from them. Why was that disabled? At least make it an option?

    I support this request, will the multi will be fixed or not ? At least let us know so we can ask for a refund if really you can't fix this mess - a lot of people play BG:EE/2 for the multiplayer.

    If my theory is correct, you will only experience the pause bug if the main character has just died. I had to exit my client, reboot the game and rejoin in order to fix it (takes about 10 seconds though, not a big deal). Not ideal, but at least you should be able to keep playing.

    Maybe its because we play on LAN, because i didn't experience this using the beamdog service, but literally anytime anyone paused or anytime the game autosaved, the game would be paused for the other players with no way to fix it without reloading. Absolutely unplayable in its current state.

    It's not a fix, but a workaround -- this only happens when the main Bhaalspawn dies and you then reload. If you quit and rejoin it stop happening. As long as they do not die, it doesn't happen.

    @Wakukee No i don't think you are understanding what i experienced. Using LAN game, fresh game, nobody has died ever. Every single time somebody pauses or the game autosaves the game gets stuck for everyone except usually the host. No way to fix.

    And i will repeat, playing using Beamdog matchmaking service instead of LAN seemed to fix the problem ( although the game still seems to randomly crash to desktop)

    @Aaezil I had the same issue with my friend (LAN game, 2 clean installs, 1 on w7 and the other on OSX), and we found no fix to the "stuck in pause" thing.
    For us it seemed to happen when the joining player was in some menu and the host would pause. A reboot of the game would fix it anyway.

    And yeah, I strongly support the request to allow - or at least make an option to allow - using others' inventory
    I will try via the beamdog client next time we play

    I can see making it an option for people who play multi with strangers, but for people who play with family or friends it is beyond frustrating that it is just turned off for good now
