My preference is for BGT, but that's if you want to make the full run through the saga. If you're going to run a number of mods it makes more sense to do it via one platform.

What's the difference between the two?

    BGT for me

Btw the difference is that Tutu is BG1+ToSC with BG2 engine,
BGT is BG1+ToSC+BG2+ToB in, obviously, BG2 engine.
The connection between the end of BG1 and the beginning of BG2 is custom made.

Oh, so the BGT actually ties the whole thing together.

easytutu has more mods for it
    bgt is less buggy

BGT is the one I use for the reasons above. I particularly like the continuity from BG1 to BG2 with the carryover NPC's (i.e., use a tome on Jaheira's wisdom and she carries that over to BG2, TOB, etc.)

umm how much space will this all ogether take up? can i uninstall baldurs gate after i installed the mods? seems like bg1 + bg2 + bgt is too much space for me ...

I also like BGT, on top of connecting BG1 and BG2 it has some minor differences that I like. It also preserves the BG1 soundets, whereas Tutu uses the BG2 ones.

bgt uses bg2 soundsets too, at least partially. I have bg1 and bg2 in different languages and its hard to miss.

@Roller12 Yeah, I guess a better description would be that BGT contains both BG1 and BG2 soundsets, whereas Tutu only seem to have the BG2 ones.

You can uninstall BG1 after completing the BGT installation. The difference in space between Vanilla BG1 + Vanilla BG2 and BGT is negligible.

This is a bit of a thread resurrection, but I was wondering if anyone might share how to make the menus in BGT widescreen beyond just the game itself (which is very straightforward).

    You can't.

Why on Earth would anyone play BGT whe BG:EE is out? This game is a significantly better product.

    @bigdogchris

BGEE would be significantly better than BG1 vanilla, if most of the bugs were fixed and modding tools/ mods were available. I'm confident that this will happen soon or later, but for the time being I'm planning to play both. The best of two worlds.

tutu stays closer to the original (no overpowered Edwin with +2 spells/level), but for me tends to be a wee bit buggier... as in, last time I played it (half a year or so ago), there were no interactions between party members, they pretty much refused to talk to each other - which is fine, if you're playing with boring idiots like Ajantis or Jaheira, not so much if your party consist of Monty, Xzar, Coran and Safana, aka the chattiest and coolest guy in the game, recruited for this very reason.

...and I noticed it midway through the game. it was not a good day.
