Rasaad leaving party glitch conversation loop

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Does anyone know what's causing this?
I go to re-accept Rasaad into my party and he immediately talks to me and says we need to part ways then reappears in nashkel and automatically starts talking to me then asks if I want him in my party and loops forever unless I select no.

    Did you installed the 2.0 patch? I remember that something like this happened to me before, now it didn't.

    Okay from what I can tell it was happening because he wanted to talk to me to further his questline or talk about his past or whatever but that wasn't happening. I seem to have fixed it by quicksaving as I get him to join but before he starts the conversation to leave again then reloading and his next automatic conversation is the conversation about his past instead of him trying to leave.
