Is Skie a returning party member? (spoilers?)

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Hi there, I read somewhere that she plays an expanded role in SoD but I haven't bought the game just yet. She's always been one of my more inexplicable favourites and I'm wondering, does she join up with you? Or is she on NPC duty?

    So far, she's appeared TWICE. Something is going on with her - I've never had her in any previous BG plays - so I'm interested in learning how it pans out.

    She does have a portrait in SoD, and that usually ends up being important for a party member able to join the party. I should say, at this point - Chapter 8 - she is not part of the party as of yet.

    No, she is not, altough you will get to see her before the end one or two more times
