Re-importing Exp loss

So, having just updated to 2.0 of BG2:EE, I decide to try a solo LoB run with one of my old characters, a F/M/T. I've removed the exp cap using BG2Tweaks, and he has about 15 million exp all in all. However, when I import the character (which has become a lot tricker to do, since they've changed the import screen so that you can't tell multiple versions of the same character apart), and start the game, he drops to an exp total of about 3 million. Does anyone know why?

If I were to take a stab in the dark at what might be causing it, i'd say it's because the whole xp thing works differently now compared to what we're used to.

In BG2, you had an xp cap of 8 million regardless of campaign (SoA/ToB) as long as you had ToB installed.

In BG1, you are capped at 161k xp in vanilla campaign - even of SoD is installed.

So somewhere in all those fancy lines of code, it's now meant to reset your xp to 161k when importing.. but your xp cap remover somehow makes it all come out wrong.

PS: Again, this is just me guessing.. but it seems logical at least.
