Firkraag and edwin

So I've done all the stuff to do... am about to go and take mr firkraag behind the barn for some ol yeller and edwin up and leaves party.... if I -do not- do any dialogue and straight out attack Edwin stays....

Can I re-aquire Edwin if he leaves or is he gone forever.... and if I can't. .. does force attacking the old beast glitch something like it did when I took out gaal in the cult of eyeless quest?

ALSO...

I didn't do it this time (will next time) if I go back and kill gerran for the deed can I still go back and ice firkraag later?

I also may have a work around to the Edwin problem by simply kicking him out of party temporarily but he is loaded up with some nice debuts to kick firkraag around with and would prefer not to do that since I'm running a 5 man crew atm. (Four would be tough (viconia Jahira yoshi and myself cleric mage multi)

    I'm about to do Firkraag with Edwin in the party he BETTER NOT leave.

    Update: buffed grp with Edwin then punted him out. Told him to stay put (by exit). Dropped firkraag. ..

    Wasn't easy with that 4 man team but got er done.

    Next run through I'm gonna drop gerran winsspear an see what happens.

    (This way I could dialogue firkraag to death rather than force attack him
    )
