That sounds to me like every cave and cavern in the game. I think the music is fine for the game, but I've never like reveled at it... maybe that's a failing of mine. I was listening to some Chrono Trigger tracks today tho. Good stuff.

My favorite has to be the Amkethran theme from ToB. It perfectly captures the atmosphere in the dusty desert village.

Watcher's Keep outside is a close second for me. Saradush had more sadness instilled into the music while Watcher's Keep had more mystique.

One of the best combat tracks in gaming in my opinion. I believe it fits Sendai best, as that battle tends to be the longest one of the five.

Ha! Great topic for us "bards" at heart! My hands down favorite game music of all time is the Baldur's Gate temple music heard in the FAI and Nashkel temples. I have actually sat down at my piano with manuscript paper and written out the four parts!

Turns out that the name of this four-part choral gem is "The Lady's House".

You know, both of the BG soundtracks are quite extraordinary. And that's kind of a new realization for me as I had largely overlooked this aspect of the game throughout most of the last 14 years. But part of what makes the game so enjoyable for me, and what is partly responsible for the nostalgia rush I get when I face Mulahey or explore Balur's Gate at night is the music playing in the background that always sets the mood perfectly.

I especially love the soundtrack for BG1. No matter where I thread in the game, the music always reminds me that something sinister is going on.
