in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I'm trying to find Daeros in the underground caverns but have spent the last 4 hours combing the map and no luck at all. Any help is greatly appreciated

    also any clue what to do with the shadow gem?

    He isn't in the underground caverns, you need to move on to the rest of the infiltration quest and you'll eventually find him when you find hephernaan
