Yes I'm serious. This came up at my job the other day... I figured it was useless enough for an "Off Topic" post.

Post a good one, if you've got one!

Well, here are a couple of others not in English:

Ganan gidel dagan bagan. Dagan gadol gadal bagan.

It's Hebrew for - A gardener grew cereal in the garden. Large cereal grew in the garden.
    And this:

    Sarah shara shir sameah.

Hebrew - Sarah sings a happy song.

Betty Botter bought a bit of butter.
The butter Betty Botter bought was bitter
    And made her batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter
    Makes better batter.
So Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter,
Making Betty Botter's bitter batter better.

    One the trickiest I've encountered:

"I'm a thistle sifter. I have a sieve of sifted thistles and a sieve of unsifted thistles, because I am a thistle sifter."

And the sea shells that she sells are sea shells I'm sure.

Inspired by the marine fossil discoveries of Mary Anning, at a time when neither evolution nor extinction were understood and known to be active processes (if you didn't know!). One theory was that maybe rocks simply create these natural shapes that look organic. Of course we now know that the sea shells that she sold were sea shells for sure! just petrified.
