[SoD] Problem when importing a character

***Haven't played the game yet, please don't spoil me***
I'm sure this is a common issue. But I can't scroll the posts and risk spoiling the game.
I like to play BG1 with a custom party. I make them in multiplayer and then I change that save folder to the single player folder. Everything works fine. Well, I exported my 2 characters, a mage and a fighter.
When I import both of them to SoD, the protagonist (mage) doesn't have any items, whereas the fighter does have the items he should've.
It's extremely weird because it's not an issue with the exported character per se. I checked importing the mage twice (so I have 2 exact copies of the mage and the fighter, for a total of 3 party members). The 2nd mage (not the protagonist) has all the items he should have. Seems it's an issue with the protagonist.
Of course the workaround would be to grab all the items from the "fake" or dummy 2nd mage, give them to my protagonist mage, and then kick the doppelganger from the party. Still, it shouldn't be this way, I suppose.
Thanks!
