Spellstone Issue

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I'm currently stuck on how to disable the spellstone in Bridgefort. I have spoken to Hess and Khalid, recieved orders to collect the scroll from the Crusader camp, and I even went to the length of killing every single living being in the camp to try and find the damn thing, but even after that, I could not locate the scroll. I've had Safana at PP 115 steal everything from every named character, but there is still no sign of that ruddy scroll.

Am I missing something really obvious or is this an issue for other people as well?

    It's in a container towards the left of the camp

    Instead of stealing from and killing everyone immediately, have you perhaps tried, I dunno, talking to some of the people in camp? Namely those that could create such a thing as a spellstone... ;)

    ...I can't believe I missed that so easily.

    I'm going to go sit in a corner and think about that for a bit now. Thanks!

    Dialog is initiated by the NPC standing near that container, in the event you open it looking for the spell scroll. Then you can follow the dialog options and let it play out based on your choices.
