Stucksies and need some helpsies!

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Hail and well met, brave warriors! My search for adventure, fortune and fame has come to a stop and I'm not sure what to make of it.

I'm exploring the regions near the Coalition Camp, so beware of the spoilers below if your own adventure has yet to reach this camp!


1. Underground River area.

Outside I found some Myconid's. One spoke of a body to the north but I'm not sure what they want? When I get to the container in the mushroom grove, a Great Myconid appears but I can't speak with it. Upon killing it, I receive a journal about killing the Great Myconid, but I never had an entry to do so. Very puzzled here. What's the connection?

2. Underground River area.

What else do I do? I let the two Ogres fight one another to be chief and left their camp alone as it's not my character's business to get involved.

I came across a Cyclops who told me to leave, and of course I did and have left that camp alone.

Otherwise, I've searched everywhere for an entrance to an underground entrance and just can't find it.

    Well, let's just say you shouldn't let that cyclop alone.

    Okay, thanks. I've dealt with that camp.

    My assumption was there was a way beyond it, without fighting by finding a cave to enter to get around it.

    Still puzzled about #1 myself.

    You can get into camp in a peaceful way, but this won't matter anymore. I think Great Myconid is part of Neera's Quest, but I am not completly sure, because I didn't travel with her.

    The great myconid should have dropped an item that can spawn myconids, it is used during a quest in the underground river
    concerning some extremely ill crusdaders
