Why SoD didnt do this at launch? (Steam store main page)



How much does it cost, this sort of promotion? Is it really too high for Beamdog? Could create a lot more visibility than did.

    That's a good question. There are probably some fairly good reasons it didn't happen, although it would have been cool.

    No, I remember Age of Empires 2 remaster had this.

    Is Dark Souls III an AAA game? I didn't think the series had quite made it that far.

    I want to say that all of us older, long-time BG fans who were interested in this probably all knew about it for months/years anyway and were counting down the release in anticipation, being that it is niche and probably wouldn't accommodate today's audience.

    SoD and BG1:Enhanced made the steam top sellers list on launch day anyway, but yeah I agree it still would have been nice to see it showcased regardless.
