Auto hits on hold spells

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I've been told you can get 100 percent chance to hit on disabled enemy. Webed, sleep, command, hold person, and such. But I
notice misses. Maybe half the swings miss. Is this a bug?

    You still can't go above your APR. If you only have a *chance* to hit once per round, that chance will 100% work but that's still your limit.

    It is worth noting that most of the swings you see are purely cosmetic. There is now an option to have the game only show non-cosmetic swings.
