Is Glint thief enough?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I haven't yet seen his starting thief skills. Does he have good enough find traps and lock picking or would I need Safana too?

    yes, you can get them both to 100% right when he joins.

    You will level up him just after he will join, so it's up to you.

    He has a belt which puts both his Find Traps and Open Locks to at least 100.
