About to purchase, but...

I wanna be sure 1st that I'm getting this right.

Do I 1st have to get the Enhanced BG? Can't get SoD alone?

    Yes, you need BG1EE. No, you can't get SoD alone.

    You also need to get it from the same platform/distributor you received BGEE from (e.g. Beamdog vs. GOG vs. Steam)

    Note that after SoD has been installed (and you've checked that it runs just fine), you no longer need to keep the BG:EE installation too, and you can run the entire thing through SoD.

    Actually, I wouldn't uninstall your BGEE install. It may still work, but SoD gets all the stuff from BGEE by pointing to the BGEE folder. If you uninstall it, there's a risk of bugs/errors.

    BUT you can start the SoD executable to play BGEE or the Black Pits.
