Today we're pleased to bring you v2.1, which includes a number of fixes to BG:EE, BGII:EE, and the Siege of Dragonspear expansion. The full release notes are linked below, but here are the highlights:
- Difficulty options should now be preserved across saved games
- Using cloud saves should no longer cause game crashes in multiplayer
- Multiplayer in general should be more stable
We still have a few lingering issues to fix regarding multiplayer, as well as other areas of the game that need some more polish; those things will be addressed in one of our upcoming updates. In the meantime, enjoy this first batch of fixes!

Looking forward to a weekend of exploring 2.0. Ehrm, 2.1, I mean.
Would You like to elaborate your statement regarding polishing other areas of the game?
Is that mean the following update will address issues that worked very well in 1.3?
The missing sounds in UI, custom portrait and sound issue or graphical glitches for example.
I believe that we will get visibility into what's going into next update.
Any advice? I have tried reinstalling BG2EE and got it to work with 2.0 but not 2.1.
Also, is there any though to returning to vanilla's artwork? Seriously, the current GUI artwork for BG2 has bland buttons, far too clean with little detail and each window seems like a pop-up. In the vanilla you had a huge detailed artwork that closed all the borders, which contributed to the 'feel' of the game
Also, more options for the GUI would be great. Personally, I find it tiresome to have a transparent text box where conversations occur and at the same time being able to see what is behind it. If I'm reading text or a log of the game, having a somewhat transparent background that allows us to see the game's scenario is counter-productive. Having an option to remove that transparency would be great.
