Quest: Desperate Defenders - Where is Khalid?

Upon entering Bridgefort with the Wardstone I met Khalid and he told me I should talk to Jegg and Wynan Hess. I did this and also completed the Quests "The Creeping Darkness", "The Fear" and "Tender of the Dead"

Now my quest log says: "I should return to Khalid and tell him what I've learned"

But I can not find Khalid. He is not inside Bridgefort or outside Bridgefort (where Mari, Estebarre, Tharantis are). I also looked after him in the still friendly Crusader Camp and the Flaming Fist Camp in the Troll Claw Woods.

I can not find him. Where is he?
