How can I finish the final mission of Hexxat in TOB?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
The lich doesn't die however I kept hitting him, why?? There two doors I cannot get through to the final boss(Korkorran), and Hexxat keeps speaking to me again and again with the same question....?? Is this a bug? How to get through this and keep the Hexxat alive with me? Thanks!

    There is indeed a bug with that lich, I ran into it a couple of weeks ago.
    Fortunately some dedicated forum members have reported this earlier, and there are some solutions available.

    How to keep Hexxat alive after finishing the mission? Whatever I choose in the talk with Korkoran, She is turned into mortal and die.

    At the end, the player convinces her. You may need charisma, int or wisdom to pull this off, though.
