Looking for "Baldur's Gate Modding for Dumbies"

So, after all these years, I think I want to get into modding. I was thinking of making something like "Dungeon-be-Gone" but one that gives you some of the items, starts you on the dryad quest, and 1000 gold for "lunch, gas, and tolls". (no xp though) I might also make some items and a vendor too.

So if anyone knows of a good guide to get started in modding, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
