SoD items in BG2 now?

With SoD out I wanted to do a complete play thru and go thru all the chapters. Anyways I was in the temple district sewers and hit the 6 man NPC group. And lo and behold one of the dwarves dropped a Helmet of Dumathoin (Dwarf helm of +2 con, +1 con for everyone else)

One of the dwarves in my player made party I imported from SoD final save had that helm but when they woke in the cages I naturally had zero gear.

Now did my imported gear get placed throughout the game or is SoD gear now in BG2EE already in place?

    Some SoD gear will always be in BG2:EE, regardless of whether you import it or not. Not sure what exactly, my guess is the Shaman items for sure, and maybe a few select others.

    Well this is the 1st time I have ever found that helmet there. I hit 3 NPC groups right away in chapter 2 to get decent gear. The one in the 2nd floor of the seven vales inn in waukeen's promenade. The group where you get celestial fury in the mansion by one of the sewer entrances. And the group at the north end of the wagon wheel that is the temple sewers. This is the 1st time I have ever found that helm there. And the above chain of events is how I gear up after chapter 1 every time.

    And you went there after the 2.0 patch as well? Before you did a SoD import, I mean.

    Well, I didn't import and didn't find the helmet. Now in Underdark and so far only got Shaman headband and shaman amulet.

    Entirely possible that only the Shaman items appear regardless, and the others appear as you import. Probably not ALL items, of course, just a select few like it was with BG1.

    That rings true, especially when only about 10 items total are shown in EEKeeper and me finding nothing but the shamanistic. Those worthy mentioning are the 2 shaman items, helm of Dumathoin, archer's eyes (where are you Corwin, BG2 misses you), the Biter dart and belt of skillful blade for swashies and blades. The rest is mostly chaff unless you bring Minsc along for the +3 2-hander helping out with crits when enraged. That one's in too.

    The one thing I wanted to bring along was the acid tongue +3 long sword. man of man That would have been a help clearing out trolls from Nalia's family keep.

    I'd like this sword in SoA, but for Trolls you can import "The Burning Earth", it's great for vampires too early on.

    I know but I wanted to use Burning earth AND Acid Tongue. It would be very analogous to using Frostreaver and Stonefire axes.
