Will it support 3rd party add-on content?

I was wondering if it will support 3rd party add-on content like Mods, Extra Characters, More Items etc... I'll be willing to buy it if the development decided to add content into the Game it self and have a new option on the main menu screen says "Add Content or Add-On" to increase Maps, Extra Character, More Items etc...

Does anyone think this is good idea?
