Pools of Darkness challenge

This is a bit random and a little off topic, but I was wondering if anybody remembered the challenge at the end of Pools of Darkness? It has been a long time but I believe after you beat the game (and your characters were uber powerful) you can take on this challenge which was a series of battle in a row, you could use little magic, no resting, it was something like 8-16 battles in a row. I could never complete it even though I defeated everything in the game pretty easy, I was wondering if anybody did successfully complete that challenge? That Gold Box SSR series was my first taste of D&D computer games so I have a fond spot for it.
