Ranger Tracking in BG:EE?

Forgive me, I haven't played BG2 in quite awhile, so I'm not sure if they had tracking as a special ability for rangers included there, like they do in IWD: Heart of Winter. I thought it was a neat addition, and provided some cool plot-centric information using the ranger's special skill (felt a lot like playing a Ranger in AD&D). Problem I guess with it is that you have to write up a Tracking blurb for each and every map-area in the game. I was curious if there was any plans to give Rangers tracking in BG:EE? Also always wondered why the pertinent info you got from tracking never ended up in your journal, but maybe that was just too much work.

    Rangers do get tracking as a higher level ability, but I doubt they will reduce it to the point where it is of any use. It certainly won't be usable in BG1EE because obviously it requires a high level to get.
