Revision reversion?

I suspect that this has been asked elsewhere, but I don't see it on a casual inspection of the topic titles. I haven't played BG2 for a while, but I recently fired up an old save, and I am rather annoyed by several things about the new Beamdog revision. The character sprites are ugly, the scroll down on the profession/class description doesn't work, and I don't like the new style Journal and spellbook pages.

Is there a way to get away from this misguided Beamdog revision, and revert to the prior version of the game?

    You can disable sprite outlines from graphics options. You need to close and start the game to see the changes.

    For other revisions, you need to revert back to 1.3 which is only possible through steam under beta section. You may wish for a steamkey through mail from beamdog support if you purchased from beamdog only.
