soa, tob import to bg:ee question

So I looked on some faq threads, but still had this question. Will I be able to import my soa/tob character to bg:ee and thus be able to play that character?

    I believe the official word is that there won't be savegame compatibility between EE and current BG/SoA/ToB. Possibly savegames can be modified to fit EE, but that isn't known.

    As a simple answer, no. You can't import Soa/tob into BG:EE as BG:EE is pre SOA/TOB and as such you start as lvl 1. You will be able to import that character to SOA/TOB:EE though, but I don't think that if you have SOA/TOB that you'll be able to import a character from EE to original, but only to SOA/TOB:EE.
