Is there anyway to increase party size?

I want to see all companion banter and special event, but I hate to go back to camp or inn just to switch companion, and I hate to miss the banter or special event when I reach certain location with certain companion.

In a word: no.

I believe one of the devs once said that the number of times the maximum party size of 6 is hardcoded was "staggering".

This is one of those engine limitation things that probably will never be changed.

I remember something about the game being recoded in another language that allowed multiple companions.
