in BG:EE Mods
Hi. Are there currently any plans/development of an SoD-compatible version of SCS? I am currently playing through BG:EE on the new Insane-mode, and it is nowhere the glory of SCS. Mages fall to mindless auto-attacking nearly as easily as in normal core BG due to the lack of prebuffing.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I assumed it didn't work because it wasn't listed as compatible:
https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/50340/bg-ee-2-0-and-siege-of-dragonspear-compatible-mods/p1
Is it safe to install it on top of the following install during a non-new game? My current BG:EE playthrough is really hampered by lack of SCS-goodness!

Hrrrrrrrrmmm. Would making a copy even work? If so, then yeah, it's definetely something I could do.
Items were even corrected in my inventory etc.

Fun as it may be, I would like to enjoy the game normally. I have tried a complete clean re-install (BGEE + SoD + SCS with the fix) and the issue remains the same. I do not have any other mods installed besides SCS.
Have any of you experienced similar issues with SoD? Might you share any advice on how to potentially fix this?
Many thanks,
B.
Thanks!
EDIT: Issue fixed with modmerge.
- with the BWS/Subtledoctor fixes, SCS should be compatible with SoD in the sense that you can have them both running together and SCS's spell tweaks etc will work normally
- without those fixes, SCS is incompatible with BGEE/BG2EE v2.3. This will change in SCS v31 (release date: "soonish, but I have a day job so don't hold your breath")
- installing SoD on top of an already-modded game will break basically everything. Don't do it; start a new game.
- Pretty much all of the SoD AI uses its own scripts, not the vanilla BGEE scripts. Since SCS uses scripts as its prompt to change a creature's AI and spell selections, SCS AI will be basically nonfunctional during SoD.
- From some reports it looks as if the occasional SoD creature still uses a vanilla BGEE script. So the occasional bit of SCS AI will probably still creep into SoD.
- I have not yet played SoD, and won't have a chance for months. I'm not going to spoil the first new IE game for fifteen years for myself by modding it before I have a chance for a playthrough. So don't expect SCS AI to make any allowance for SoD AI any time soon. (But I have looked at the SoD AI scripts a bit, and they look very high quality.)
- Anyone who puts big SoD spoilers into SCS help threads will be cast into the outer darkness, wherein there is a wailing and a gnashing of teeth.
