Any upgradeplans for Ir'revrykal +5?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Seems a bit meh, Dorn gets to upgrade this weapon right? why can't Blackguards PC's?

    20,000 Gold
    into Soul Reaver +6
    1d12 +6, +1d6 magic damage. 50% MR, dispel magic on
    hit, target suffers a -2 THAC0 penalty for 120
    seconds.

    It's unlikely there will be official content of that nature added. However, mods can provide anything you like, pretty much.

    This is also called "The very best offensive and defensive weapon in game which can give you 100% MR (with other equipments) and make you unhittable even by Abazigal and Demogorgon after one round"
    Heck, Blackguards might want an upgrade for Unholy Reaver (whatever its Githyanki name is) for it to be better than Soul Reaver but this is a little bit overpowered. Even Dark Justice+5 ain't that powerful.

    Item Upgrade is an ancient mod, and its balance is... shall we say "imperfect".

    You are getting it at the end of game anyway. Heart of the damned is quite far in tob. It's not that far from Carsomyr's power which can be obtained very easily at the beginning of the game.

    Ir'revrykal is like a slap in the face. The whole game has pretty meh gear that is class restricted. Only paladins have 2 great weapons the rest of items are pretty lacking.
