Shamans unable to wear ankheg plate mails?!

Greetings!

I just noticed that in BG:EE my new shaman isn´t able to wear ankheg plate mail. Was this intended?
Meanwhile, my solo shaman in Black Pits 2 was able to wear that and dragon scale armors, too!
