Imoen cannot use scrolls ?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Hwy all, just noticed... In my new playthru, I am going human Figher3 -> Druid afterwards
I thought of keeping Imoen to use scrolls (as I always did in classic BG1)... but I remembered she could use spells from the get go. Except now in BG:EE I find out I can't.

Is it my memory that's faulty or is there some new mechanics I am not aware of ?

    Scrolls require you to be of the appropriate class and have 15 INT, afaik. I don't think she ever were able to read scrolls unless she was dual-classed.

    Okay, probably mixing it up with BG2 (where she is Thief/mage).

    You may be recalling that there are some generic scrolls anyone with enough Int can use.

    Pretty sure you mix up BG2 here..

    all Imoen can do is use staff of Magic Missiles , you could use scrolls in classic BG if you did the potion shuffle but that's just cheating.
