Will I have a chance to return to Ducal Palace for my equipment?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Just curious, I just got through Korlasz' tomb and when I arrived in Ducal Palace all of my companion's gear was transferred to the cabinet beside the bed. I don't have enough people to hold all of that stuff now, however, so I was hoping to be able to return to pick some of it up later on down the road.

If I leave items in that cabinet and proceed with the caravan will I have the freedom to return and pick my gear back up as I wish? Don't want to just throw it all out.

    It follows you. The only gear that didn't for me was Imoen's.

    Imoens Gear was in a different chest, in the other room iirc.

    Cool I was wondering the same. I have a ton of items from BG1 that I cannot possibly take all right now without full party.
