Importing game from SoD - will non canon NPC's keep their gear?

I just started a new BG2 game but with two imported characters, so I had to create a game from scratch and not import a save game.
My question is, if I had imported a save game, would it remember for example what Neera had gear wise in BG2 now? Or is that not implemented?
Considering all non-canon characters should have access to their SoD gear, I'm wondering if that is the case?

As for SoD gear, there are some select items that you can, in a way, import alongside your save. There's about 10 or so items from SoD available in BG2; some will always be there (the Shaman-only ones), while some will be present only if you actually imported a save with them. The items will however not simply be on your characters after import (due to how the story of BG2 works) but they can be found as drops later on in certain locations - but, again, ONLY if you actually imported them in a save (except for the Shaman-only items, which will always drop).
btw. Does it matter if It is better to import only the one with the main character (like the last Auto Save) or the one from Final Save?
Inventories probably matter, though, in terms of what items get transferred. There's other threads on the topic, which also include lists of items available in BG2. You should check those for more details.
Edit:
Ok, found it myself
