Find everyone in Candlekeep who autokills you (Gorion and Tethoril) and ctrl-Q them into your party. Then go crazy with a level 50 Monk (thanks, XP cap remover!)
Also fun having Tiax and a level 50 F/M/C trash the world by repeatedly casting Gate. Heh.
I made a level 1 mage with charm person, spent 50 reloads trying to charm Gorion, then had fun casting all of his spells.
Does Gorion have any charmed dialogue? It would be great if you talked to him and he said "Well I was going to explain everything as soon as there was time...oh I suppose you are right, there is time, *explains entire plot*"
I was very dissappointed that I was autokilled everytime I tried to 'off' Renal Bloodscalp. I think I can manage a few rounds against a few assassins without everyone in my party being dead if I can take down multiple dragons without losing a single character.
@AHF. Have you checked out Arkanis's sword? There's a reason you are dead quicker than you can say 'lickity split'.
Plus he only shows up in invincible form to stop you from screwing the plot over to the point where it would be impossible to advance any further.
I haven't. I tried this both after I finished the plot point in which he is involved and then again after Spellhold. I littered the area with summons and disabling spells (like web) along with true seeing in an effort to confront the assassins. PfMW, stoneskin and other weapons were useless.
This indicates the sword does automatic death spell with no save. Next run through I'll have to try spell immunity and death ward to see if those work but I expect they don't.
I used cheats to spawn an army of 2,400 paladins in the Umar Hills [...] also spawned several copies of Abazigal and about 50 priests of Oghma [...] fought them all with a party of six evil and neutral characters. It was truly epic and lasted for 7 hours real time. I eventually won, but unfortunately I didn't get to fight the Abazigal copies because it turned out that the paladins killed them before I could get there.
Man, that made me want to try something similar! I also imagine that this should slow the game to a crawl even on modern PCs, no?
Death Ward should work. The only real way to take him down is to use this in conjunction with a Time Stop/Mind Flayer attack.
I'll definitely give this a try. What doesn't fill me with confidence is the fact that I wasn't able to take any action with my characters when I attacked. It seemed to go into a cut scene where my people were taken down without me being able to move them or issue instructions. Maybe that is just because I was defenseless?

Unfortunately not. Just turned green and had fun with him *evil grin*
I once got bored so I consoled a party of 6 max lvl (for SoA) sorcs and went to town killing cowled wizards. In the end I killed ALL of them. As in there wasn't any of them left. Another time I decided to go to town with my pickpocketing thief in athkatla. I stole from every single NPC in that city (except ofcourse from the ones where you litterally can't)

Then wondered how he managed to cast them all again when he fought Sarevok?
Exactly! I figured he was just a Chosen of Mystra, and decided that... ah, screw it. SHENANIGANS!
A perfect answer to the question I posed good Sir
Playing Planescape: Torment reading EVERYTHING. Boy, the amount of text in this game is sick.
