Missing weapon icons in portraits

Sometimes the weapon icons are there and sometimes they are not, for no apparent reason. In the screenshot everybody except CHARNAME is attacking one of the mephits with a weapon. However, Imoen and Yoshimo are missing their icons. Anybody else has this problem?

    Sometimes, it takes a second or two for the icon to appear. The game doesn't always register an attack command immediately. Give it a short bit, and that changes.

    The original BG2 did this exact thing as well, fyi.

    I had a quick try with a saved game and it looks like that could be the problem, since I use auto pause all the time. Right now I'm in Athkatla, so not much combat for now. I'll check it thoroughly when I reach a more beligerent part of the game.

    OK, that's it, definitely. However, I would say this didn't happen when I played BGEE a few months ago. It would be much nicer if you got the icon straight away, for it would give you a constant picture of what each character is doing. Does anybody else remember this being immediate in previous versions?
