Rangers Minsc and Kivan

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Both have left my adventure group. Is there any way to get them to return?

    you might have to use the handy dandy cheat console to summon them back in, although they wont have the gear that you gave them, and depending on which one you bring in, it will either be their 1st,2nd,4th, or 6th level counterpart

    If you didn't do their tasks fast enough (rescuing Minsc's "witch," and hunting Kivan's bandits,) then no, they're gone, you can't recruit them anymore.

    Kivan leaves for good, and minsk also leaves for good I believe.

    Gonna console summon them or restart. :pensive:

    Didn't Minsc attack you?

    I always thought he attacked when you were too slow to rescue the witch.

    Yes he did attack, but, I think I headed the group off the screen to avoid him he showed up later hanging around the Nashkel Inn. He was calm unless I tried to recruit him again. After a "save" I ask him to rejoin and he went back on the attack. So I reloaded the "save" and just left him hanging around.

    Have you tried rescuing Dynaheir and bringing her with you before you talk to him?

    Just for your future reference.
    You get a warning, (you should have had Minsc telling you need to rescue Dynaheir now, and Kivan saying need to go to bandit camp) and that should give you enough time to just rush across the maps to the relevent areas (no resting).
    Once you enter the area maps, without actually doing the quests, you should be OK.
    That's especially useful for Kivan, you get a speech on the edge of the area map, and after that you can return to other areas if you want and carry on as before without doing the camp itself.
