Importing characters from old games

I don't find this in FAQ so I want to know if my previous characters in my old game clients could be imported to EE?

    I read an interview that said no because the code had changed too much... I'll look for the link

    Aw, 3 more hours to get 18/00 and 18 straight then.

    Hopefully the BG 1 characters can be exported to BG 2 like its predecessors.

    Yeah they said that will work!

    depending on what Platform you but for I'm sure a modder will put out a converter soon enough
