Baldur's Gate Achievement: Godlike

Hi everyone!

First thing first: I'm an achievement whore.

Now that this is establish, I'm starting a new game to get as many as possible (I finished the game before the achievement went out, but for some reason I did not get all of the one as was supposed to. Mostly, they are the one about "Finishing a chapter". So I started a new walkthrough to complete them.

There is one of them, Godlike (Increase an attribute to 25), I’m not sure how to get without cheating. I remember, 15 years ago, when I was playing the original one there was a cheat to summon item so of those way were to summon all the Tome that increase attribute several time. But how can we do it legally?

And on steam, it’s one of the achievement that has the most unlocked global by player (7th). How did people get it?

Thanks!

Well, in 2.0, we could just turn on story mode and BAM! Achievement.

I believe the "official" way is to make a character, get a tome, read it, export that character, restart, rinse and repeat. The CHA and CON tomes are ones you can get earlier enough too, making them good stats to go for.

Okay, but here is no kind of "first playtrought and one playtrought" only way to do it... right?

None that I'm aware of, Draw Upon Holy Might gets you CLOSE, but not exactly there.

I doubt you need to have it permanent. So having a potion of storm giant's strength coupled with Draw upon holy might (your character should have get that via dreams if your reputation is 10 or higher) should get you to 25 strength.

There are two potions for sale in one of the tents at Nashkell Carnival, Red and Violet Potion - they set either strength or intelligence to 25 for a limited time, but decrease other stats to 3.

I had forgotten all about those potions. I only go to the Carnival these days to grab my second-favorite Cleric.

OKay so the achivement does not take in account if you have it permanent or by buff?

The stat doesn't have to be permanent, so buffs work fine.

Turning into the Slayer should achieve it instantly in BG2. So should setting the game in Story Mode at any point.

Unfortunately achievements gained in BG2 mean jack squat on the first game, and vice versa.

    As gentlemen above suggested
