Trilogy Character Guilt

Edit: Nevermind, this is a dumb question. It can be deleted please?

I have a question - I ran Linux until yesterday, when I installed Windows 10. I had never taken a Sorc, Mage, or Bard all the way through the trilogy. I had a Sorc I made that I took through BG1, painstakingly, and was ready to go through SoD and on to BG2EE.

I thought cloud-saves would transfer - I was wrong. None of my saved games appear. Is there any shame in re-creating her, using an initial SoD save game, and then tweaking her stats and items with EEKeeper, and continuing on? I feel like that might be cheating, but I don't want to have to re-create all that effort when I was so looking forward to the rest of her adventures.

Opinions? I just want it to feel legit. If it's not, I'll go back and re-run her, I guess.

Thanks folks.

I don't find the question "dumb", but if you actually had killed Sarevok, BGEE continues into SOD automatically without any need to import a savegame file.

Yeah, but I didn't have any cloud saves available after changing my operating system. I didn't physically back them up because I assumed cloud save would.
