Impending archers and ankheg armour change

Hello. I've noticed that in the buglist for the next update one of the bugs that's listed is that archers shouldn't be able to wear ankheg armour and this will be fixed in the next update. I'm curious about the logic behind this, given that archers have been able to wear ankheg armour in BG since the first days of Tutu. The blurb in the description of the bug also references a kit description that states that archers should only be able to wear leather, studded leather and hide but my copy if BGEE (Android, up to date AFAIK) still describes them as not being able to wear metal armour, and thus ankheg armour is fine. I'd like to request that this change doesn't go ahead as I frequently play archer characters (and have done for years) and I don't see this being of any benefit to the game, the only outcome I can see is it being detrimental to archer characters by making them much easier to hit. I suppose if this was a new release that was going through regular rebalancing I might not be so bothered, but after so many years to have ankheg armour taken off of my archer rankles!
If this is a change that will go ahead, please explain the reasoning behind it.
Thanks.

we all know that a lot of D&D rules where Butchered by putting them into game form ..like Ranger/Clerics have both spell tables (which is now fixed and you only get druid spells up to lvl 3 if your ranger is all beefed up)
or Kensages just wearing robes and ioun stones.
and while its a Blow to the archers AC .... you shouldn't go Legolas anyway and shoot them Orcs point Blank !
