No Option for Canceling Dual-Classing?

I tried dual-classing Imoen in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and found that there was no option for canceling out of dual-classing if you regret the decision.

Once you have clicked "Dual-Class", the only way to avoid dual-classing is if the character is using items they can't use as the new class. When you are done switching class (have picked new abilities and spells, etc.), you are warned about this and get the option to cancel.

Running version 2.1.63.2 (from GOG) on Windows 7.

Is this a known issue, or is it intended behavior?

it's intended. "cancelling dual-classing" is not a part of the game rules.

There'll be a confirmation message explaining this in the next update, so you won't be as likely to click the button by mistake and get stuck in the dual-classing menu.
