Post-Durlag's tower??

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Ok, I'm outta patience. Did the tower's dungeons, the world map is pretty much filled up now but I still can't get into Candlekeep.
I give up. Where the hell am I supposed to go now??

    You can go to Candlekeep after investigating Iron Throne's building - that's quest given by Eltan. If you come back to him, he gives you a book and you are teleported right to Candlekeep.

    Here you have it. If I recall correctly, to trigger Eltan's quest you need to complete Scar's quest about Merchant's League. Then he proposes you to meet duke.

    I believe you also first need to do Scar's second quest: investigate the missing citizens in the sewers.

    The second quest is optional. If you accept the quest you have to do it, if you don't accept it then you just go straight to the Iron Throne building.

    ehh, the first quest is completely optional aswell. You can flip Scar off at the bridge or tell him you give up later, rush to the throne and then immediately to eltan.
