Ogre mage kill

Currently in the sewers in Candlekeep. When I 1st got there I went below the street & my 1st encounter was him waiting for me with a carrion crawler. Killed the crawler but i ran back to the surface to prep for the big fight. Went back and he was gone.
*flash forward *
Ran into an ogre mage on the *street* and killed it with that slayer arrow. Looted it and found a ring made by Drow. I'm not sure if that was the ogre mage i was supposed to find.
Was it? Cause its looking like I've searched all of the sewers and there's no sign of it. (Unless he's hidden in one of the gated off areas )

    I think you mean the BG sewers and the sashenstar ruby ring.

    Bring the ring back to Scar

    Oops. Yes. BG.
    So this blaster/ explosive ring I have now isn't it and I didn't find the right ogre yet. Got it
