updated ingame weapon models?

Is there going to be updated weapon models in game? For example, will the weapons resemble artwork more instead of usually only having a new color?

    Sadly, the answer is no.

    The original assets and sources for the animations are long lost by Bioware. Making new ones are also out of the question due to time constraints and the fact that the developers would feel the need to update everything graphic-wise if new animation models were created for a selected few.
