Problems when importing characters

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I'm trying to import a BGEE character to SOD, but everytime I do that my character gets imported naked.
Is this working as intended ?
Do I have to run trough the whole game and defeat sarevok ? I'm nowhere near that fight yet.

    I'm not sure but I also had a little trouble when I exported a char and overwrote another It wouldn't happen you can try to export him with a new name..

    I don't think that should happen. I imported a BGEE character into SOD that hadn't been through the entire game and everything seemed to be fine. Just so you know All my BG games were bought through Beamdog, not Steam or anywhere else.
