Trying to install "The Vault v7.1" mod on BG1EE V2.2.66.0 (GOG)

I would *really* like to install this mod; I really enjoyed the toys that came with it, back when I last played BG1, a decade or so back.
I tried installing this, but it failed. It told me to forward the debug file to erebusant@verizon.net, but that email address bounced immediately. I'm including a link to the debug file here, linked to my dropbox account:

Interestingly, it says it failed on error, but doesn't actually show any error except when trying to unwind from the error...
Is there any way to repair this file so that it will actually install??
I noticed in the console messages, that this version was built for BGT, but BGT is not yet available for BG1EE... I'm really hoping there is some other way to recover this mod...

hmmm... Well, I went back to Azenmod's website and downloaded V5.0 of this mod, from 2006, and it installed fine. I then ran the game, and it ran fine, so I didn't crash my installation, at least not initially. I wonder what was different in V7.1?? erebusant could probably answer that question, if I knew where he was now.
In any case, I'd still like to know how to fix V7.1, if such is possible.
