Any way to change the size of the message box on main screen??

I'm running BG1EE 2.2.66.0 (GOG)
There's a small dialog box in lower-center of the main screen, which shows various messages in it, mostly about what I and others say. Unfortunately, it only shows two rows of text, and I don't seem to be able to scroll the dialog. Is there some way to make it larger, and ideally to also make the scroll-bar on the right work??

Normally you should be able to grab to top of the bar and drag it up, but this could help.

huh... well, now that you mention it, I *can* drag the top of the bar and resize the window. It didn't seem to be working last night, though. Maybe I just needed to be told it was possible!?!?! Thank you!
